Zeno Benito Nyamahanga

My name is Zeno Benito Nyamahanga, and I am a fourth-year student at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), pursuing a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM). I participated in the 2022/2023 2nd edition Tenkai Online Course, held from November 2022 to March 2023. Through this course, I gained new insights into global food safety and security, as well as the importance of improved nutrition in Africa. Connecting with peers from Tokyo NODAI and JKUAT, and learning about their cultures and experiences, further broadened my perspective.

The knowledge I acquired from this course enables me to confidently educate my community on food safety and security issues. As a veterinary medicine student, I also advise pastoralists on the benefits of adopting new technologies and moving towards sustainable, commercial livestock production to ensure the safety and security of animal-based products. My goal is to become a valuable veterinarian, researcher, and global volunteer dedicated to enhancing human well-being.
