Winfrida Jilala Mihambo

My name is Winfrida Jilala Mihambo from Tanzania, and I am currently a Technical Field Officer. I participated in the Short-Term Exchange Program, including the CIEP and ISS, in 2022.

My participation in the Comprehensive International Education Program and the International Student Summit has profoundly impacted my personal and professional growth. Engaging with diverse cultures, global issues, and interdisciplinary learning has given me a deeper understanding of the world and my role in it. This experience has strengthened my critical thinking, adaptability, and global citizenship, equipping me to address complex international challenges.

The knowledge I’ve gained—such as language skills, international collaboration, and insights into global issues like climate change and social inequality—can be directly applied to my community. With an understanding of global best practices, I am better prepared to address local challenges, from promoting sustainability to enhancing agriculture and public health. My intercultural competencies also allow me to foster inclusivity and cooperation across community groups.
