Victor Agagi
MSc. Student at JKUAT
I am Victor Agagi from Kenya. I participated in the Tenkai program as a long-term exchange student between March 2024 and February 2024 to carry out my research as part of my master's study at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. I am working on my thesis and making changes to my write-ups. While at NODAI, I was hosted at the Laboratory of Plants and Arboriculture and supervised by Professor Suzuki Kojiro. I also participated in various lab and CGI activities, which involved engaging people. Significantly, I participated in restoring the Hayano Umegaya special conservation green area based on a community model and ISS as a general chairperson. These activities have impacted considerably my role as a nature steward. As a result, I have been engaging in and leading various activities aimed at restoring nature in Nairobi, Kenya. My focus is to conclude my studies and seek opportunities to pursue a PhD.
