Tarimo Apia Donath

My name is Tarimo Apia Donath, and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness. I had the privilege of participating in a long-term exchange program from September 25, 2023, to July 31, 2024, where I conducted research on ginger processing. This experience was transformative, providing me with firsthand exposure to advanced agricultural practices and research methodologies. My time in Japan deepened my appreciation for agricultural innovation and inspired me to bring these insights back to my community.

Now, I am applying this knowledge by educating local farmers on efficient processing techniques, which enhance the value of their produce and increase their income. Looking to the future, I aim to establish a processing industry that supports the entire agricultural sector, using improved technology to add value to various agricultural products within my community.
