Milkah Jepkorir

My name is Milkah Jepkorir. I completed my internship at EABL 6 weeks ago, so I am currently unemployed but I am in the process of job searching and trying to figure out what next. I participated in the Tenkai Online course twice; first in Jan 14-21 2022, and then from Dec 5 2022-March 2 2023. Participating in the online course gave me a global perspective of agricultural systems and a valuable opportunity for cultural exchange. I learnt a little bit of the language and I learnt about the Daikon Odori dance. I have been applying the experience gained to engage in cultural exchange practices within my own country. Any time that I get a chance to travel to places or communities that I have never been to before, I do so with pleasure so I can learn more about the people, their culture and their food. In the future, I aim to build a career as a Quality Analyst in the Food and Beverage industry. I plan to pursue short courses in this field and eventually a Master’s degree. In the coming years, I hope to travel internationally, engaging in cultural exchange and sharing my experiences on my social media platforms.
