My name is Rodgers Stephano Kingazi, a Bachelor of Agriculture Investment and Banking student at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). From December 2022 to March 2023, I attended an online course by Tokyo University of Agriculture on "New Initiatives to Enhance Agri-biodiversity and Nutrition in Africa." This program enriched my understanding of Africa’s nutritional challenges and highlighted solutions using local resources and ICTs. I am applying this knowledge by promoting good dietary habits and food security in my community to preserve resources for future use.
Looking ahead, I aim to conduct training for smallholder farmers and university students, equipping them with skills to address agricultural challenges sustainably. My ultimate goal is to become a leading agricultural expert and economist, using my knowledge, photography, and ICT skills to bridge the urban-rural gap, supporting farmers in achieving sustainable and profitable practices.
