Job Nyarimba Ombiro

My name is Job Nyarimba Ombiro, currently an intern at Agventure Limited, a company specializing in sustainable farming of wheat, barley, canola, pulses, and contract farming. I participated in the ISS and CIEP programs in July and August 2023, where I established valuable networks with Japanese and other international participants, including professors. These experiences have significantly enhanced my career prospects; mentioning my participation in ISS and CIEP strengthens my profile in Kenya’s competitive job market, helping me secure internships and job opportunities. I am also seeking scholarships for master’s studies in agriculture and food, confident that my international experience will set me apart. With my knowledge of sustainable agriculture in Asia, I am working to introduce these practices within my company and advocating for the adoption of Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems in central Kenya. My goal is to become a leading researcher in agriculture and food, collaborating with international organizations like JICA, FAO, WFP, Nestlé, and Diageo.
