Jacinta Wangari Machatha

My name is Jacinta Wangari Machatha, and I am an MSc student in Agricultural and Applied Economics at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). I participated in the Tenkai Online Course on "Japan Food Systems for Food and Nutrition Improvement in Africa" from November 23, 2023, to March 4, 2024. This program has been instrumental in shaping my approach to sustainable food systems and nutrition improvement, equipping me with practical skills and a deeper understanding of innovative food solutions. I am actively using the knowledge gained to promote sustainable agricultural practices in my community, focusing on food security and improved nutritional outcomes. In the future, I aspire to conduct impactful research in agricultural economics and contribute to policies that drive sustainable food systems and development in Kenya.
