Ibrahim S. Selemani

My name is Ibrahim S. Selemani. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Horticulture from Sokoine University of Agriculture, completed in 2023. Currently, I work as part of the Technical Production Team at Kili Holland VC in Moshi-Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, where I focus on flowers (green cuttings), vegetables, fruits, and coffee. I completed the Tenkai Online Course from December 5, 2022, to March 2, 2023, gaining valuable knowledge in agricultural innovation, nutrition, food safety, preservation, and entrepreneurship. This program also enhanced my communication skills and introduced me to Japanese food culture, language, and customs. Motivated by “Hope Against Hunger,” I interned with Echo East Africa, an NGO where I helped people in arid regions by sharing agricultural innovations and promoting environmental conservation through the distribution of fruit and shade trees and perennial vegetables. My goal is to pursue a master’s degree in agriculture, deepen my knowledge, and support communities facing hunger and nutrition challenges.
